About Marc

'I help people thrive throughout their life stages, both by resolving the effects of low grade pathogens and by navigating the impacts of lifestyle choices on their wellbeing' - Marc Salmon

Marc Salmon

MSc O.H.M., Dip. Ac, Dip B.F.D, Dip. HTOX

Marc has practised Asian Medicine since 1988 and is passionate about using Eastern wellness practices to ‘untie the knots’ that so often underlie issues with the mind-body connection and balance.

Following a period of practising Shiatsu, Marc realised that by adding other supportive Eastern Medicine modalities he could create a more holistic treatment programme for his patients, and began training under Thin Thong Nguyen  in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) at The London Academy of Oriental Medicine.

In 1995 he completed postgraduate study in CHM at the Traditional Chinese Medicine University Hospital (Chengdu, China) and Institute of Traditional Medicine (Saigon, Vietnam).

Upon returning to London, Marc co-founded and managed the Kailash Centre of Oriental Medicine in 1997, which became a leading centre for Asian and complementary medicine in London.

In 2000 he established The Garden Clinic and relaunched as Marc Salmon Wellness in 2021, to offer a personalised and specialised medical practice.

For the last twenty years Marc has included Complex Homeopathy and Electro-Acupuncture Diagnosis in his practice

This enables him to offer specific treatments for chronic conditions due to bacterial, fungal, parasitic or viral infections. Marc has trained with prestigious European institutions in these fields: The Academy of Homotoxicology and Bio-regulatory Medicine (UK), Biologische Heilmittel Heel GmbH (Germany), The College of Progressive Homeopathy (UK) under Andrian Lyndeman, Guna (Italy), and the Pitterling Institute (Germany).

Marc completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Homotoxicology (2005) from The Academy of Homotoxicology and Bio-regulatory Medicine, a further Postgraduate Diploma in Chinese Medicine Dermatology (2006) under Mazin Al-Khafaji, and an MSc in Oriental Herbal Medicine (2006) from the University of London.

Marc is inspired by Eastern philosophies, geographies and lifestyles, having travelled extensively throughout Asia since he was seven years old, often with his family. Photographs used thoughout this website are taken from Marc's collection of images.

Over the last thirty years Marc has studied Buddhist meditation, Hatha yoga, medical Qi Gong and Tai Chi Chuan. These disciplines have enriched his understanding of treating complex mind-body conditions.

A busy father of two vibrant teenage girls, Marc brings his understanding and experience of the successful interplay between well-being, Asian Medicine and mindfulness to his personal life and to his work. His interests include art, travel, reading, walking, trekking, and he divides his time between London and Devon.
